We’ve all heard that “the only constant is change.”That is a universal law that was born with the big bang.If we could stop time nothing would change. If we could go back in time, we could reverse change. If we could travel to the future and experience the negative effects of change, we’d be able to go back and start over.
The world’s leading astrophysicists recently discovered that the universe is expanding at an increasing rate. That means that the universe is changing at a faster rate today than it was yesterday and tomorrow it will change even faster. Perhaps that has something to do with our propensity to make changes at an accelerating rate?
Our commentary will focus on the changes that affect our expertise areas: content management, capture, security, cloud computing and collaboration.We’ve observed incredible advancements during our twenty-years. We were founded in 1992 and our bleeding-edge technology at the time was a 1200 baud modem connected to a dial-up connection to a bulletin board that featured local community events and little league game results.
Most of our customers were using word processing machines for creating documents and a 20 page per minute scanner could set you back $15,000. Oh, and some company named NetScape was working on something called a "broswer" while Al Gore was inventing the Internet.
